The Feeling of Being Safely Enclosed in a Shell (2024), solo exhibition, Sara’s Worldwide, NYC

“SARA'S is pleased to present Gregory Nachmanovitch, The Feeling of Being Safely Enclosed in a Shell, the artist's first one person exhibition in New York. The exhibition is centered around Nachmanovitch's substantial video work, Mannheim, 2024, on view in the main gallery. The film and its supporting work was conceived during his time at the Glasgow School of Art, Scotland.”

Along with an installation of Mannheim and Waynesboro War Games, the exhibition concluded with readings by authors Jack Nachmanovitch and Anika Jade Levy, and a performance by the Kevin Eichenberger Quartet, featuring Marija Kovacevic, Javen Lara, Scott Li, and Aliya Ultan. The quartet performed Eichenberger’s original score that he composed for Mannheim.
